Appointed by and reporting directly to Cornell University’s President Michael Kotlikoff, the Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) has responsibility for all aspects of Human Resources across Cornell University. This leader develops and executes HR strategies, policies, and procedures to drive performance across the University.
The CHRO oversees staff talent acquisition, retention and development, union and employee relations, workforce strategy, classification, compensation, benefits, organizational development, employee inclusion and belonging, employee wellness, work/life programs, the Office of Institutional Equity and Title IX, HR operations, HR analytics, and HR information systems.
As an integral member of the senior leadership team, the CHRO contributes to the overall mission of Cornell University, is responsible for directing the University’s overall strategic and operational human resources functions, and will provide direction and leadership in the planning, development and implementation of meaningful and measurable human resource programs and services in furtherance of the University’s mission and values.
